About CCEA
The Central City East Association (CCEA), which manages
the Arts District BID, was formed in 1985 as a non-profit
501(c)6 business corporation in order to address issues and
concerns of the eastside industrial and manufacturing businesses. The creation of CCEA resulted in many accomplishments
for the district.
Active in local planning, CCEA achieved zoning protection and
alley closures in critical areas, and became an integral part
of the Downtown Strategic Plan.
CCEA was instrumental in the expansion of the Federal
Empowerment Zone and State Enterprise Zones
that cover Industrial District properties.
CCEA manages the Toy and Downtown Industrial District BIDs, and is widely recognized as the leading advocate for improving the security and maintenance within the eastside of Downtown Los Angeles.
